Jittr Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Jittr (“Jittr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Jittr mobile application and website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Agreement & Acceptance
By accessing or using Jittr, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to every user of the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, such as 16 in parts of the EU/UK) to use Jittr. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms. Jittr is not intended for use by anyone under these age limits.
3. Your Account
- You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us promptly at support@ratejittr.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
- You may delete your account at any time from within the app.
4. Your Content
“Your Content” means the ratings, reviews, scores, flavor tags, photos, comments, check-ins, and other material you submit to the Service.
- Ownership: You retain ownership of Your Content.
- License to us: By submitting Your Content, you grant Jittr a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute Your Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service — for example, showing your reviews to other users and including your ratings in café and coffee rankings. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for content that has been shared with others or incorporated into aggregated, anonymized rankings.
- Responsibility: You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights to submit it and that it does not violate these Terms or any law or third-party right.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, obscene, or that infringes anyone’s rights;
- Impersonate any person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- Submit false, fraudulent, paid-for, or manipulated ratings or reviews, or attempt to game the rankings;
- Upload viruses or malicious code, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, its accounts, or its systems;
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service except as expressly permitted;
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages, or to abuse our communications features;
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of these Terms.
We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Reviews & Ratings
Ratings and reviews must reflect your genuine, first-hand experience. Do not post reviews in exchange for compensation, post on behalf of a competitor to harm a business, or otherwise attempt to distort ratings. We use measures to protect the integrity of our rankings and may adjust, withhold, or remove content that appears to violate this section. Café and coffee rankings are generated from aggregated user ratings and are provided for general informational purposes; we do not guarantee their accuracy or completeness.
7. Business Accounts & Payments
- Verification: Business features may require you to verify your identity and authority over a business. You agree that the information you submit for verification is accurate, and you authorize us to review it. We may approve, decline, suspend, or revoke business status at our discretion.
- Payments: Paid business features are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. By purchasing, you authorize the applicable charges and agree to Stripe’s terms in addition to ours.
- Subscriptions: If a feature is offered on a recurring basis, it renews until cancelled. You can cancel as described in the app or by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. If you purchase through Apple’s App Store, refunds and billing are also subject to Apple’s policies.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service — including the Jittr name, logo, design, features, and software — is owned by Jittr and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for Your Content and the limited rights to use the Service granted here, nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our permission.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on and links to third-party services (such as Google Maps and Stripe) and may display content about third-party businesses. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, or businesses, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms and policies.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any content, ratings, or café information will be accurate or reliable. You use the Service at your own risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jittr and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jittr and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or for any other reason permitted by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including content licenses already granted to others, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at support@ratejittr.com and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service. Your continued use of Jittr after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
